  We were running late and couldn't get to the office to collect the keys by 5pm so I asked for it to be dropped off. The keys were not left in mailbox as promised so I dialed the service number which was directed to the owner and he said he'd come by. He arrived about 10 minutes later and left my whole family with little kids waiting in the rain (though partially shaded where we waited) while he finished his conversation on the phone. Even then, he did not leave the keys with us nor offer any advise on when we will get our own set of keys.
  
  As we settled into the house, we found many issues with it:
  1) Water in guest sink did not flow down
  2) Lightbulb in dining room blown out
  3) No dryer, no laundry basket & no clothes pegs - the drying line outside was not covered so our laundry never dried
  4) DIRTY - windows not wiped probably in a few months; dust balls and cobwebs in kitchen cabinets, window sills, behind & above bedroom cabinets; dog hairs on the sofa; sticky cookery and in most places of the kitchen
  5) Cigarette butts strewn all over the backyard. There was an empty packet of cigarettes on the grass but no one bothered to pick it up.
  6) There is no access to the garage as it's used to store the owner's kayaks and boating equipment that he rents out. The bin is probably in there which we couldn't access so our garbage for the 2 nights had to be stored uncovered and it did get smelly over the summer days.
  7) My father found a cup with a thick layer of coffee dried at the bottom. If any washing was done at all, this wouldn't have happened!
  8) The BBQ set at the backyard was unwashed from the previous person staying there and there was still a potato inside!
  
  Yes, you get a nice view but your privacy is compromised as the owner's boating business is right outside so you will find a lot of people at the wharf waiting to get on board. You will also be smelling diesel from the boats.
  
  The staff have walkway access from the front gate to the wharf and they walk right next to the bedrooms so you will have to keep your blinds down to get a little privacy.
  
  We complained about all the points above and got clothes pegs, the sink was fixed and the BBQ cleaned though the potato was still left there. However nothing was done about the rest of the complains.
  
  We stayed at several places throughout the south coast and the JB Weekender was the only accommodation that disappointed.
